If you are in search of relaxation, in search of a mountainous landscape, in search of the culture of the region, Parvati Valley is a place that will surely catch your heart.

Overview of Parvati Valley

Parvati Valley is located in the kingdom of Himachal Pradesh in the northern part of the Kullu Valley. It is also called the Pauri division after the river Parbati, which flows through this valley and adds to the green and rich vegetation.

There are hills, mountains, forests, little hill stations, and beautiful valleys, which make this place an appropriate destination all year round for travelers who need action or rest.

The area covers the region, starting from Bhuntar town near Kullu and moving up to the popular village of Kasol, which is considered the focus of Parvati Valley. Kasol is considered a paradise for hippies and backpackers, as everyone can spend their time freely without being judged by society. The Parvati Valley is a trekking destination beside the center of spirituality and is historically significant, too.

How to Reach Parvati Valley?

  • By Air: The closest airport to the Parvati Valley is Kullu-Manali Airport, also called the Bhuntar Airport, which is 31 km away from Kasol. The airport has all the basic facilities and transportation mail services like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala. When you are at the Manali airport, taking a taxi or even a local bus to get to the Parvati Valley is possible.
  • By Train: The railhead closest to Parvati Valley is Joginder Nagar railway station, some 165 kilometers from Kasol. The station is near the Northern cities of India, including Delhi, Chandigarh, and Pathankot. However, using a train might not be convenient because it involves road transport and rail.
  • By Road: The most preferable mode of transport to travel to Parvati Valley is by road transport. Traveling to Kasol, the base of Parvati Valley, where your journey starts, is possible by bus or by taxi from Delhi, which is roughly 500 kilometers away, Chandigarh, which is about 300 kilometers away, or even Manali, which is about 75 kilometers away. After reaching Kasol, traditional vehicles such as buses, taxis, and trekking services are also available around the valley.
