Thailand Tourism News: After one year of haunted about Corona Virus, finally, the government of Thailand – General Prayut Chan-o-cha decided to open the gates of tourism for the globetrotters in majorly three stage roadmaps to welcome the people in these provinces – Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga, Surat Thani (Ko Samui), Chon Buri (Pattaya) and Chiang Mai – to vaccinated foreign tourists.

Apart from this, the people who got their vaccinated done will not have to quarantine for 14 days and the government has decide to reduce the number of days from 14 days to 7 days. About 11 groups of people are allowed to enter Thailand but not more than that. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reopening roadmap will take place in stages in the second, third and fourth quarters of this year, especially for the vaccinated foreign tourists heading to these six provinces.

WHAT ARE THE THREE-STAGES REOPENING PLANS?

STAGE ONE

The foreign tourists, who got vaccinated from April to June, will be allowed to enter the destination and have to undergo the rules and norms of quarantine set by the government. The people have to stay back for continuously for 7 days at the government approved hotels. Post 7 days of quarantine, they will be allowed to visit and roam around in Thailand and enjoy their vacations.

The ‘0+7 nights + designated routes’ is a model which means that while in quarantine, the people can indulge themselves in the leisure activities that have been inside but they cannot step out of the premises of the hotel. But, they will be allowed to travel outside within certain range of the hotel.

STAGE TWO

This stage is from July to September, Phuket will be the first region to lift quarantine requirements for all the vaccinated tourists. They will be allowed to travel in a restricted area to enjoy their stay and days when ever they feel bored. After spending 7 days, they will be allowed to travel and explore Thai destinations.

STAGE THREE

This stage is from October to December; the other entire five tourist destinations will join Phuket and would take all the necessary precautionary steps with the vaccinated travelers. Unlike Phuket, tourists will have to spend their 7 days in quarantine and they can indulge in some activities in the hotel itself and they are allowed to go outside within a certain range of distance. Once they complete their 7 days, they will be allowed to explore the different destinations of Thai.

DOCUMENTS YOU MUST KEEP WHILE VISITING THAILAND

After clearing all the three stages, the tourists will have to undergo a COVID-19 screening that includes RT-PCR tests and download the specific track and trace application. In order to enter in Thailand, vaccinated people still need to have their arrangements in good order while arriving there.

These include a valid visa or re-entry permit and also a certificate of Entry from the Royal Thai Embassy.
