Day 01: Chennai Arrival & Tour

Post arriving at the Chennai airport/railway station, our representative will meet you and will guide you to one of our listed hotels. Check in at the hotel and take some rest. Post resting for a while, and visit some of the key attractions in Chennai. The most popular tourist attractions in Chennai which will be included in your tour will be Fort St. George, St. Thomas Mount, Kapaleeswar Temple, San Thome Cathedral, etc.. In the evening visit the beautiful Marina Beach and spend some time there. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (150kms 5hrs)

In the morning after breakfast, leave for Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram. The main Kanchipuram tourist attractions consist of the Kailasanathar Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, The Vardarajan Perumal Temple, and the Sakkiswarar Temple. After visiting all these temples, resume your drive to Mahabalipuram. This 7th-century former port city is known for its rock-cut shore temples. Post arrival; check in at one of the mentioned listed hotels. Take some rest of the day and enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram Tour – Pondicherry (100kms 3hrs)

After having a healthy breakfast in the morning, move out on a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. The main attractions here include the Shore and the Five Ratha temples, Arjuna’s Penance, and the Tiger caves. Later drive to Pondicherry. Post reaching Pondicherry, check in at one of the hotels as per the plan. Rest at the hotel for some time, in the evening; make yourself free for a leisurely walk to the local market of Pondicherry. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Pondicherry – Kumbakonam (130kms 3hrs)

After having breakfast, explore Pondicherry which is famous for its diverse attractions like the coastline of 32 Kms, palm-fringed beaches, backwaters, and fishing villages. Later in the afternoon visit Aurbindo Ashram and Auroville, then drive to Swamimalai. Stop midway to pay a visit to Chidambaram. Post reaching Kumbakonam, check in at one of the listed hotels. Later in the day visit the Swamimalai Murugan Temple and then enjoy a stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Kumbakonam – Tanjore (50kms 2hrs)

Post having breakfast move straight to Tanjore which is popularly known as the city of temples as it has various famous temples in and around the city such as the Navagraha temples. Post reaching Tanjore, check in at the hotels and take a rest for some time. Later in the evening, take a guided city tour of Tanjore and visit the most famous tourist attractions like the Vijayanagar Fort, Shiva Ganga Garden, Aalangudi temple, Brihadeeshwara temple, and the Chandra Bagawan Temple. Later in the evening return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Tanjore – Rameshwaram (250kms 5hrs)

Post Breakfast, transfer to Rameshwaram and visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Rama. It is amongst the seven places in India where pilgrims pray for salvation. The place is unique with 22 holy springs and has the longest corridor in the country. Then visit the five-faced Hanuman Temple which also has a floating stone outside the temple, mentioning the popular stories from the Great Indian spic, Ramayana. Visit Dhanushkodi Beach whose entry closes at 5 PM. Stay overnight at Rameswaram.

Day 07: Rameshwaram – Madurai (170kms 3hrs)

Post breakfast; check out from your hotel to precede your drive to Madurai. Post reaching Madurai, visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple which is also known as Meenakshi Amman or Minakshi-Sundareshwara Temple. It is a historic Hindu situated located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River and is dedicated to Meenakshi, a form of Parvati, and her consort, Sundareswarar, a form of Shiva. Here the travelers can enjoy the light and sound show organized at Thirumanalaik Hall. Return back to the hotel, and enjoy your stay at the hotel in Madurai.

Day 08: Madurai – Trichy Drop (150kms 4hrs)

After breakfast, our tour guide will arrange for your transfer to the Trichy airport/ railway station for your next desired destination.
